Dang it, I'm wrong! And I HATE saying that. Thanksgiving music.....your playlist is good....but, I was thinking more in terms of 'Hail to the Turkey' or "Gobble, Gobble, All the Way'. LOL! I guess I could make up some good thanksgiving songs. Although maybe I'm wrong and there is a whole turkey day music subculture somewhere......
When you had mentioned conspicous absence of Thanksgiving music earlier, It resonated, because I have thought that for a while. Although, I think there is alot of Thanksgiving music, but it simply doesn't get the attention is could.
If I were musicaly inclined, i would love to embark on this project:
I'd like to do for some of the awesome old patriotic/Thanksgiving hymns what TransSiberian Orchestra did for classic Christmas music. Make rock/power-orchestral renditions of them that compromise none of the spirit of the old songs, but draws on the power of their spirit to really really Rock. I think it could be awesome.
I like the playlist you made very much. Erik walked in while I was making dinner and asked, "whose playlist is that?" I said, "John's" and Erik goes, "WHAT? REALLY?"
Ha ha ha ha. It was too funny. Again, please leave this playlist up for awhile since I really like it ;)
