Good game. I really enjoyed watching it move by move. Is there a rematch coming up soon?
That is a cool thing to do.
Dana, its amazing that anyone besides me followed that game! I am filled with Joy now, thanks.I think trent's mind was not on the game though.Wanna hear the major blunders?J
My huge blunder was move 11, when I took his pawn en passant with my leading D file pawn. I should have taken with my other, dfile pawn. As it was I left that back pawn exposed to his queen which made it impossible for me to save my rook. His worst blunder was 2 moves later, move 13, when he actally took my rook, which could escape anyway. He should have defended his rook that move, probably by sacking it out right in front if that Bfile pawn that was about to promote. After I got 2 queens, game was all over but the crying. He doesn't know he's lost yet.J
Uh, stupid chess question, what rule lets you get two queens? Erik and I were trying to figure that out while watching the game. We thought it was when you got a pawn to the other side, but we were not sure.
You are right. When a pawn reaches the opposite edge of the board, it promotes to any other peice you choose (except a king). Queen is the typical choice, but knight, rook, bishop all are ok too.J
