2010 Championship is on

Annoyingly, whoever the winner of this match up turns out to be, neither will have a really convincing claim on being the greatest in the world. Magnus Carlsen, the 19 year old Norweigen has the #1 win/loss rating in the world, and he is not in the 2010 championship.

I think it's cool that you have a geniune love of this game! It's not everyday that I meet folks who love chess.

Game 3 completed today.

1 victory a peice (both winners playing white) and one tie. Based on the fact that Anand, the Indian and current world champ was playing black during the tie, you might say he is marginally ahead.

You'd also have to say that Toplov (Bulgaria I think?) is giving Anand a better fight than Kramnik did during the last WCC in 2008.

LOL!! Not really. I've been told in the past that I should work on that particular skill set. I'm very literal & that occasionally comes across as tactless. :)

I'm pretty sure that I could do pretty well on Jeopardy chess questions should I ever need to. All thanks to your blog!
