Don't Watch

I asked Liz not not watch this- not because it's gory or anything-- just because it's so sad. But if you voted for whatshisface, you should definately watch this.

Okay, I only made it about half way through the video before I started crying and had to turn it off. I cannot believe that this goes on and people are okay with it...it just makes me want to vomit. ARgh!!! Stupid Obama! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

It makes me ill. Today is a sad day.

I voted for McCain/ PALIN, even though I hated his health care plan. The democrats hold the majority in the house and the Senate too. Wake me up in 2 years, unless the majority does not shift back to the Reps, then wait four years to wake me up!

Oh, and my older sister and her husband are going to be insufferable snots for four years ;)

That video is totally bringing down my high.

Ah-

and while were are at it, THANKS A MILLION MIKE HUCKABEE! Maybe without your efforts we could have run a real man instead of gaybait McCain. Preachers.

timpani76 said...

McCain was just as sneaky and underhanded as Huckabee, which is why Romney should have won!

Bruce said...

i hope people see mike hukabe for what he is, and what he did. he stayed in not because he thought he could win but so he could keep out that heathen mormon. i think this pesidency will have a chance to show people how crazy libs are and how damaging their principals are. that way we can swing toards the concervitive side. and i cant help but wander how many votes where got but some cheety method. not that it matters now. i think i will go pray for my country and its leaders now.

Eyepoke said...

Moose, I think the Amlici comparison is not a bad one.

Hoba Chi said...

I forgot who Amlici was but the internet brought it up surprisingly fast and accurately.

I never saw that video. It made me cry and wonder what kind of monsters there are in the world. Then I kissed my kids are than heads. :)

Hope for the best. Anyone can change and we still have a say in what happens.

Obama is 10 times a better person than you will ever be. I don't mean "leader", I don't mean "president", I mean "person". I've read your ranting over the past couple of months, and quite frankly, it seems nothing fails to fall under your scrutiny, and you are a slave to religion. Failure by design.

Renae said...

I'm sorry kitsunexus, but you are wrong. Religion is not a failure by design, if that were true then you and I would not be here. I may not be a perfect person, but God is. I, in myself have many flaws and I don't follow in His perfect footsteps as closely as I should. I am sorry if you have gotten the wrong impressions about us here, but I have to stand up for what is right. Our Heavenly Father made you, me, this entire Earth and everything that we know and hold dear. Whether you want to believe it or not, He is ultimately in charge and will have the last say. So, if trying to follow God is not the best way, then I don't know what is. Yes, we do have our oppinions, and might not always express them in the best way possible, for that I am sorry. However, right is right and wrong is wrong. Barak Obama has all the markings of an evil man. Black, white, pink, yellow or green, evil is evil, and I will call it such. A man that can be so crazily libral, hang out with such crazy people and vote to kill live innocent babies again and again - yes, that is evil. John here is my brother, and though he may not be perfect, he is at least trying to follow the light in his own imperfect way, as am I. Slave to religion? No, God does not take slaves. I try to follow Him as far and as fast as I can of my own free will. I'm not perfect, not even close, but I'm trying to be good. Thank you for your oppinion.

Renae said...

By the way, if it turns out that I am wrong about BO, I'd be perfectly overjoyed! Straws show which way the wind blows. We'll see.

Kitsunexus said...

Pssh...not only can you NOT provide any concrete proof that your faith is reality, only vague ideas and theories, the simple concept of religion is the root of all hatred and violence in this world. See the Islam extremists, the only reason that they are so evil and violent is their religion. Obama, though chiefly Muslim, is Atheist and is therefore less prone to radical extremism than most people that have held the same position (or equivalents in other parts of the world).

So unless you can provide concrete proof of God, I will not believe.

I do not consider you evil, but I do not consider you free either.

wow, talk about your waste of a comment. why is that people think they are "intelligent" and "free thinking" when they decide to do abhorent things? like abortion, or think that everyone who is religious is shackled and brain dead. do you think that your ideas are revolutionary? i've got news, they're not. they are as old as the world itself, as are our views. what are you going to do if you find you are wrong? i'm not going to debate whether we are right or wrong, nothing we can say will make you believe us. but what if you are the wrong one? in all your high flying ideals, did it ever occur to you that you might be? it occurs to us daily, make no mistake. if it didn't, we'd be just as close minded as you. you do not know us, you do not care to know, and i'll tell you something else; if all you can do is bleat at us that religion is "faliure by design" and you'll only believe it if we can give you proof (which we could, but you wouldn't believe it anyway, your mind is made up), if that is all you have to say, then stop reading this blog, and go elsewhere. if you can debate with us in a kind and respectful manner, you are welcome. if not, i suggest you take yourself off. we don't need your kind of stupid. (and before you get all up in arms that we won't listen to anyone other than people of the same opinions as us, take a look at a debate that happened several months ago. it's under abortion, and i do believe my husband has it linked on a side bar. you will find that particular opinion is dead wrong.)

Bruce said...

you clearly dont know john if you think he is a slave. he ONLY does things he can annilize and make some sort of sense out of. he does tend to call names and insult, but that is because(i think) he has such contempt for the person he talks about this way. i have been shocked in this election that so many people voted for O knowing nothing about him except that he was black. i think O will probably do what he thinks will work best for the country. the problem with that is, that what he thinks is best(based on his associates and he record) is bad. from not good(socialism) to down right evil(abortion for any cause at any time). i think O lied about what his beliefs and true intentions are. i think he cheated to get more of the vote than was going to come to him(i don't know that it made a dif in the end), and i think he is going to try to move us far to the left of center. kit, i hope you are right about him being a good person, but i think and fear that you are wrong. you may not believe the same way most of us on this blog do, and that is fine. too far to one side is bad no matter which side it is. communism is bad (cold war, USSR,) but we can go bad the other way too(salem witch burnings, the spanish inquisition). i know it seems we are attacking you, and we are to a certain degree, but you did come in and slam one of our own. we dont know you. i like it when people from the other side debate and comment. it keeps me sharp and makes me think about my own side a bit more. so feel free to disagree, but at least make intelligent statments.

timpani76 said...

I love how atheists cover their eyes and shout "I'm invisible!" in the face of so much evidence that God exists. In their hearts, they know he's there, but their mind refuses to take anything associated with feelings as evidence.

How do you know your in love? You just know, that's all.

As far as Obama goes, I've been listening to my lib family revile Bush for 8 years, NOW IT'S OUR TURN!!!!! BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

lizS said...

hear hear, bruce! you said it way better than i did. i was too mad. spitting nails seeing red man. you just don't attack my hubby. or renae, who is as close to perfect as a mortal being can get. (i know, bruce, you're married to her and she has her faults, i didn't say WAS perfect, just that she's far closer than i) renae is one of the sweetest, most considerate loving giving people i know. and my husband does tend to not pull any punches and leave tact on the road behind him somewhere (as do i), but this IS his blog after all. he should be able to say what he wants without someone coming out of the woodwork attacking him. if you don't agree with his veiwpoint, fine. don't be a rude imbicle about it. debate, don't slam. slamming someone only shows your lack of brains. and john is a deep down to the bones good person. if you believe nothing else about me, believe that i wouldn't have married him otherwise.

lizS said...

well said timpani! like our feelings are invalid. good point! our feelings are what make us who we are. if we can't trust them, we can't trust anything.

lizS said...

one more thing: why is it bad that nothing falls under scrutiny? shouldn't we scrutinize everything? shouldn't we leave no stone undisturbed, no leaf unturned when it comes to our opinions? how can we HAVE opinions if we haven't thoroughly investigated every side of any given issue? why do we have brains (regardless of how we got them) if not to use them? doesn't the fact that my husband overly scrutinizes everything make a far stronger case FOR him than against him? he has reviewed the facts; all of them, and has made his opinion based on those facts. his case is therefore far stronger than yours, with nothing more than a "religion is failure by design" argument.

lizS said...

i meant that nothing fails to fall under scrutiny, not that nothing does.

Renae said...

K, I am sorry that you feel that way. Many people out there have done terrible things in the name of religion. That is true. It's a horrible thing for people to do evil in the supposed name of God. However, religion is deffinatly NOT the root of all evil. That is ridiculous! Our beautiful country was founded on "In God We Trust." There have been many many wonderful things done for God's sake. One of Satan's best tools is counterfeiting. I'm afraid many many have fallen prey to it. Satan uses hatred. God ONLY uses love. God will never take away anyone's free will. Satan will do it at every opportunity. No, we aren't perfect, but if following the innermost feelings of what is right and wrong won't lead you right, then nothing will. I am sorry that my sister-in-law told to go away, and was rather rude. (As I said, we aren't perfect. You are hitting on a sensitive subject.) We ought to remember who we are trying to represent, and speak civily. The fact is that there are many many proofs of God and his love out there. I see them everyday. Part of His way is not to force His will on anyone. He won't force you even to believe in Him. Free agency is a big deal with Him. He will gently and softly try to guide you, but you have to be willing and open to those soft whisperings inside you that tell you when something is right or wrong. So, He could show you a thousand proofs, but you would just explain them away. The fact is that someday you will know that God is there, that he loves you and has tried to guide you. He will give you every opportunity to do right and to follow. But our life is a test to see if we will learn to listen to His still small voice, and walk in faith. If he gave you all of the answers right up front, it wouldn't be much of a test. You have to follow the innermost feelings of right and wrong. Aspire to do the best that you can. If I can't count on that, there is nothing out there that I can. I'd rather come to the end of my life trying my best to follow and believe. Even if I was wrong, my life is much enriched for this, and has so much more purpose. However, I KNOW that there is a God. I've seen his hand in my life over and over again. You too will come to the end of your life, and you will know then. I just hope that this fact doesn't make you sorry and regretful. Again, I'm sorry that the sampling that you got from us is one of "ranting." I believe that what John says is right, just maybe not expressed in the best way. Have a great day!

Renae said...

Sheesh! We are writing our brains out here! As I was writing my thing, all of these other comments came out.

Liz, I am SOOOOOO not perfect! Please stop it. Live with me for a day or two, you'd be disillusioned for sure. Now I feel bad for saying that you were rude. (Even if it's true.) I love you too Lizard Face! Really, I do!

Bruce said...

i wont be able to prove any thing that you refuse to accept. but one little bit of "proof" is a stand of dna. dna is a plan. a blue print. it is a neccasary infrance that if there is a plan there HAD to be some one or some thing that planed it. and O claims to be christian not muslim or athiest. and the concepte of god is not the "root of hatrid and violence". its mans twisting of the true intentions and teaching that cause the prob. people misquote scriptue and say "money is the root of all evil" what is says is that "the love of money is the root of all evil" another translation puts it "the disire for ilgoten gain". and that is the dif. people who want to truely follow the creator and people who want to subvert others to their will and there illconceaved notion of what gods will is. you ask me to prove there is a god. i can tell you what i know for myself. you say that if i cant show you it must not be real. i will try to explain it a little like timp did. and ask, Do you know what salt tasts like? explain to me how it tasts. but you cant except to tell me its salty. so i submit that if you cannot discribe it to me then you must not realy know what it tast like. i KNOW that there is a god. i have my reasons that you may not understand or be willing to accept. i cant show you a pic of him. but i have felt his preasence and i have seen his influence in the things arroud me. and just becauce you dont understand and cant see it does not mean that i do not. john is wanderful at math. i cannot grasp the higher functions of math. he understands some thing that i do not(i cant spell eigther). the same is true with your atheistic views. i invite you to read the scriptures. just read, and after your done tell me where the falshood is and i will listen to what you have to say. but like i said, i KNOW there is a god. and just because you dont, does not change the fact that i do.

Bruce said...

i wander if john is watching all of this from his work computer. if not he will be on line forever to night.

Eyepoke said...

Wow NoI cant follow all this at work, and definately dont have the time to do it at lunch... But I'm definately having fun today!! this made my day.

lizS said...

i was being rude, and i'm not about to apologize for it. i was being just as rude as whatshisface, and i don't see any reason to fawn all over him with apologies for my opinion, which is a basic right we all have. again, this is john's blog. he, nor we, should have to apologize for our views. if you have a different one, awesome, let's debate. that is one of the best ways to learn. but one of the biggest pet peeves i have is people who can't play nice. who resort to insults to make their case known. it's childish, rude, and unintelligent. and once more, you don't treat my husband that way.

Bruce said...

so what you just said, is that you put yourself of the same level, "i was being just as rude as whats-his-face", as some one you describe as "childish, rude, and unintelligent." there for petting your own peeve. i will say that "whats his face" should appologize for the way he came in rudely and started insulting with out provocation. he(im assumeing he) did earn some shots for the way he introduced himself(blasting the host out of no where).

lizS said...

i was being a woman with an irish temper whose husband was just attacked with no provokation whatsoever. that's the difference; i had a reason. whatshisface didn't.

Bruce said...

i said that too

No doubt that voting against these things is wrong. Hopefully he can make up for his mistakes by making an executive ban on the issue as a goodwill measure during his 4 year career as president. I stand by my decision to vote for him, call me evil, uninformed, insane, whatever else. Sorry if you hate me/feel sorry for/or distrust me now because I supported a man that "from a 2 min video" I watched apparently hates babies and wants them to die

The Marinator said...

I tried to watch this earlier, but I couldn't get it to play. Wow. I gather from the video that the nurse attends abortions at "Christ Hospital" was it? I don't know if that one experience changed her feelings about abortion, but it obviously changed her feelings about allowing botched abortion babies to die unattended. That is so sick! How can God allow this to happen in this great land? He sees everything that happens behind those doors, and he will deal with those that commit these atrocities. This is one of those things that you know about, but can't think about for long. How anyone could live with themselves after doing something like that is beyond me.

PS, I was a Romney supporter too, let's not start hatin' on preachers.

Wow, I just read some of the comments. I would like to point out that atrocities have been committed in the name of Atheism as well. Shall I start enumerating them? Well let's see, there's the eradication of the Buddhists and educated people when China fell to Communism. There's the silly notion that black people and especially Jews were less human than the Aryan race in 1940s Germany - a conclusion reached by belief in a little something taught daily in our schools known as Evolution. Oh! I know! The Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin killed tons of educated and religious people to make room for their new government style. I think there's still some oppression in Tibet, where the Buddhists there are not allowed to have their Dalai Lama, because the Chinese that rule over them will not allow religion there either. Yeah, religion is the only reason theat is blood shed in this world. I think if we just eradicated religion, people would magically love each other, and we would hold hands and dance around rainbows. People wouldn't just hurt each other because there is no fear of what a just God would do to them. They wouldn't have any reason to think that it's okay to harm another human being because, after all, we're all just animals anyway. Kit, really, you need a better argument than religion is what's hurting people.

Rob, you are really being defensive. I don't think that any of my friends have called you anything.

The Marinator said...

PS John, you're right, today has been a GREAT blogging day!

Eyepoke said...

Hey FX-

I can't speak for the rest of the blogosphere, but I myself have yet to call you evil, uninformed or insane... or any sort of name.

I've definately ragged on BO as hard as I can- I have made my views on him as clear as I can- please don't take it personally!

I like that you showed up and were ready to express an unpopular opinion. The fact that we disagree about a few (or even many) points should be no barrier to a healthy discussion. You have even described yourself as pro-life. We have some common ground here.

Preachers....

not sure if i even want to go here. Partly to avoid hurt feelings- heck one of my very best mates is now a professional priest, not to mention your family, MC- Partly cause there is so much material it could easily be its own post...

How about this: I think there is a conflict of interest when your paycheck comes from preaching. What really motivates your service? God? or Mammon? It's the classic two masters thing.

Not that there aren't some guys who pull it off! But it seems like one heck of a moral deliemma to have to face every day before breakfast.I'm sure some guys pull it off, but I dare say it crushes a pretty fair number of them as well.

Ravi Zacharias tells about experiences he had in preacher college where he met fellow students who told him flat out why they were there: "There is good money in the God business"
